Conditions of Enrolment

1. Payment.

Where applicable the enrolment fee and deposit must be sent with the booking request or application. The balance of the fees must be paid at least four weeks before the start of the course. Where a course is payable in semesterly instalments, each instalment is due four weeks before the start of the semester. If the due fees have not been paid in full, you will not be allowed to start or continue your course.

2. Cancellation and Curtailment (withdrawal)

Any notice of cancellation or curtailment must be given in writing to the School.

The rules for cancellation and curtailment depend on the kind of course booked:

a. Academic courses (course codes OAL, OPY, OUF)

If you cancel more than four weeks before the start of a semester, all fees will be refunded less the enrolment fee and deposit. If you cancel less than four weeks before the semester or if you withdraw from the course after it has started, that semester's fees will not be refunded.

b. English language courses

There is no refund for cancellation or curtailment of discounted Intensive or Compact English courses (course codes OGT, OGY and OCY).

For all other English language courses:

Cancellations more than four weeks before the start of your course
All fees will be refunded less the enrolment fee.

Cancellations less than four weeks before the start
All fees will be refunded less the enrolment fee and deposit.

Curtailment (early withdrawal)
To withdraw early from a course, you must give four weeks’ notice in writing.

Visa nationals

If you were granted a UK entry visa to follow a course at King’s School, the school will inform the Home Office and/or the visa-issuing consulate if you cancel, curtail or fail to arrive for your course .

3. Late arrivals.

No fees are refundable in the case of late arrival for a course.

4. Academic decisions.

The School reserves the right to determine the best course of study for any student and to exclude from any class a student who is, for reasons of ability or performance not qualified to enter that class.

5. Discipline.

Unsatisfactory work, attendance or conduct by a student may lead to permanent exclusion under the SchoolÊs disciplinary procedures. In the event of exclusion fees will not normally be refunded.

6. Liability.

King’s School Oxford and the King’s Schools UK will not be liable under any circumstances for any failure to provide services if that failure is caused directly or indirectly by industrial action or by events beyond its control (force majeure).

7. Damage.

If a student causes any damage to School property, whether intentionally or not, he or she will be liable for the cost of repairing or making good the damage.

8. Accommodation.

In arranging homestay accommodation for students the School acts solely as an agent (and not as a principal).
