Important Notes (Courses)

All prices are in GBP sterling.
Course prices and accommodation prices are shown separately.
* OCY, OGT, OGY: reduced prices for long-term English courses only apply when all fees are paid in advance. Fees are not refundable for any reason except visa refusal. Cancellation insurance is advised.
A registration fee of £50 applies to all courses.
The lower age limit for King's School Oxford is 16 years.
Bookings will only be confirmed when the school has received a deposit of £170.
Full payment must be received 4 weeks before the start of the course.
If you are booking less than 4 weeks before the start of the course, full payment must be made at the time of booking.
No tuition is given on public holidays: in 2008 March 21, 24 / May 5, 26 / August 25. No refund or compensation is given for lessons missed due to public holidays.
The school will be closed from Friday 19 December, 2008 to Sunday 4 January, 2009. Lessons recommence Monday 5 January.

English language level

For English language courses, students are welcomed at all levels from "Elementary" to Advanced. Genuine beginners, students who arrive at King's without the basic elements of grammar or "survival" vocabulary may need to take extra individual tuition for which an extra charge is made. These students are advised to study in their own country before coming to England.

For academic courses (OUF, OPY, OAL) students must meet the minimum English language requirements for the course. If, on arrival, their English does not appear to reach this level, they may be asked to take an English language course first.

Applying for a course

For an English language course either enrol online, with secure credit card payment, or download the EFL enrolment form (.PDF) and send it by post or fax with your deposit.

For an academic course, (University Foundation Programme and GCE A-Levels) download the academic application form (.PDF) and send it by post or fax with your deposit. Notes for Admissions Advisors are available. There is also an English Language Suitability Test (.PDF), which you may need to complete.

Important Notes (Accommodation)

Homestay accommodation is available all year. It includes half board (breakfast and evening meal every day) and lunch at weekends, provided by the host family.
Friends and Family twin room bookings are for students who wish to share with a friend or family member attending a King's School course on the same dates. Students must book at the same time and specify the "friends & family twin room" option on the registration form.
Student residence accommodation (Summer only) includes breakfast and evening meal in the King's School restaurant. Students must pay a cash deposit of £50 on arrival against damages or loss of key. This is refunded on departure subject to a room check.
